Artist Statement

I am white, American, French and born to parents raised in Senegal. They raised me in the Baha’i Faith, a young religion out of Iran. I grew up in Cupertino, Ca, with the rich smells of Indian cooking filling my best friend’s house as we played.

These are a few of the building blocks of my cultural confusion which fuels my curiosity about human nature. I use my work to create connections and explore the complex makeup of individuals, myself included. In the end, my greatest desire is to empower my community through my work and the connections I make.
